Poultice Pad

Farriers friend poultice pad.

A medicated 12mm thick glycerine based poultice pad, for use on the equine hoof to treat inflammation, hoof abscesses, sole bruising, corns, nail punctures, etc. This pad is durable and long acting and the application can be left on for 2 to 3 days. Apply directly to a thoroughly cleaned hoof sole and strap into place with an adhesive bandage.

INSTRUCTIONS : 

It can be used AS IS  or as a HOT application, by simply popping the unopened packet in a bowl of hot water for a minute OR by cutting a 2cm opening in the top of the packet and microwave for 30 seconds on high.

1. Remove the medicated pad from the packaging and apply directly to the thoroughly cleaned hoof sole.
2. Apply a plastic wrapping (either the packaging, plastic wrap or ductape) around the pad and sole to keep the pad moist and prevent drying out the medication evaporating.
3. Strap into place with a adhesive bandage.
